Code X Discovery pleasantly surprised me. It is a fantastic combination of science fiction, drama, and thriller. Code X Discovery really makes you question current events as well. Such as what secrets is the government hiding from us. But back to the book! Michael Vallone does a great job setting the scene. I was both engaged and hanging off the edge of my seat within the first few pages. Follow Vicki who is the youngest dr to receive a Nobel prize and her fiancé Parks on an adventure to uncovering many truths meanwhile putting their lives in danger. You really feel connected to the characters and find yourselves rooting for their success. Must read!

Everywhere you go, there have to be people that complain, and have something negative to say. That is just a part of life. And these people make it difficult for the Scientists to advance.

The conspiracy theory will be tested, right from wrong, and Vicki, Parks, and Biggins will all lead you down the path to see the truth. All you have to do is follow along, and open your mind.

After you get halfway through the book, it gets so faced paced, that you just cannot put it down, and you just have to keep reading no matter what is going on around you.

You fall in love with the characters, and want them to succeed, and you want to help them make it. You can visually see everything happening, it is like “No wait- don’t do that!” and “Hurry up!” as you’re reading you’re yelling at the book, because you are that engrossed. This book is thrill ride and a half! You will not be able to put it down, trust me on that!

This book is a true five star read. A thrill ride that enlightens your mind on conspiracy theories, and truths, and the government, and what could be. And maybe even….is. You need to read this book, and see what you’re missing!
** spoiler alert ** This would make an excellent movie. It was a great read up and until near the end when the aliens got involved. Why did that happen? It didn't really add to the story and just bordered on ridiculous. I say lose the aliens and make a movie. It was fast paced, the characters were interesting and the concept solid-fans of Michael Chriton would like this (except for the aliens).
Code X is a thrill ride into what happens when science goes where it shouldn't go. This book has a mix of everything. If you are a fan of James Rollins Sigma force this novel will be a treat for you. It has all the elements of a science fiction mystery, wrapped up in adventure novel, packaged in a thriller. The many twists and turns this book takes will leave you gasping until you get to the final conclusion that will leave you wanting more! The author has a unique talent of keeping you interested, and engaging your intelligence with the hi tech genetic information while treating your adrenaline addiction with cliffhangers, and lastley little mysteries they leave you wondering throughout the novel. This novel is highly recommended it is intelligent witty and mysterious.
I’ve always been a diehard fan of the thriller genre and have recently found that the sci-fi genre is starting to grow on me, so I couldn’t resist going into this book with intrigue and, admittedly, high expectations. That being said, I can say that author Michael Vallone has more than met my expectations and left me very satisfied with the read.

The author blends the defining elements of each genre together near-perfectly and the end result is a read that is unique, interesting, and above all, well-written. I must also comment on the characters, especially Dr. Collins, they are put together excellently and their dialogue between each other flows in a realistic manner. I recommend this to readers looking for a new spin on the genres that is fresh and entertaining.
